What to expect during your stay

Our residential drug and alcohol treatment program takes a holistic approach to recovery by focusing on each individual as a whole. By focusing on nutrition, mental and physical health, as well as stabilization and the 12 steps, you will have the best opportunity to achieve long-term sobriety.

What insurances do you take?

We accept most Medicaid plans. If you’re uninsured or unsure about your coverage, please call us today. We’re here to help.

Do you provide rides?

To make our program accessible to all, we provide transportation services for Phoenix metro area residents.

What kinds of Medications do you use?
Your healthcare provider can tailor a medication plan to your unique situation.
Do you supply Methadone?
While we don’t offer Methadone, we can provide support and alternative treatments. If you’re ready to transition off methadone, we can help you do so safely.
Do you take Medicare?
While we don’t directly accept Medicare, we’re here to help you find a suitable program that meets your needs.
What should I bring?
To ensure a smooth admission process, please bring all prescribed medications in their original containers. An Admissions representative can provide a detailed list of requirements for your specific program.
Will I have to share a room?
Room assignments vary based on program level and availability. Most residents share a room.
Can I bring my vape?
To ensure a safe and effective detox process, vape devices are not allowed during medical detox. Unopened devices may be stored for use after detox.
How soon will I get comfort meds?

Your healthcare provider can tailor a medication plan to your unique situation.

How long is the stay?
We tailor treatment plans to meet each individual’s specific needs. Detox stays typically range from 4-6 days, while residential treatment programs last 30-90 days.
Do you have IOP?
Our IOP and Sober Living programs are currently part of our reentry program for parolees. Referrals from a parole officer are required to participate. If you’re not on parole, please contact our Admissions Team for guidance on alternative programs.

Can I just walk in?
To receive the most effective treatment, please call to speak with a treatment advisor before visiting. While we accept walk-ins, a consultation will help ensure you get the right care, right away.
Can I bring a book?
For safety reasons, please refrain from bringing personal belongings onto the unit at Apache Junction.
Do you accept couples?
To maximize your chances of long-term sobriety, we recommend individual treatment. While we are accepting couples into medical detox on a case-by-case basis, research shows that individual therapy is more effective for sustained recovery.
Can I wear my own clothes?
For Apache Junction, clients will be provided with all necessary items during detox, including scrubs, sandals, undergarments, and personal hygiene products. Clients may bring a bag of clothing for aftercare, but please note that these bags will be searched. For Whitton, clients are encouraged to bring their own clothing, with approximately two weeks’ worth recommended.
I want my blanket. Can I bring that with me?

For safety reasons, please refrain from bringing personal belongings onto the unit at Apache Junction.

Can I make calls to family?
For the safety and focus of all clients, cell phones are not permitted at either the Apache Junction or Whitton facilities. After a 14-day period, clients in residential programs may make outbound calls. To keep your loved ones informed, you can sign a release of information authorizing us to provide updates upon request.
Why can’t I bring my own stuff? It’ll make me more comfortable.
To maintain a safe and healthy environment for all patients, we must adhere to strict guidelines. This includes prohibiting personal items that could introduce substances, pests, or allergens. These measures help protect everyone’s well-being.
Do you help with Mental health diagnosis?
While we specialize in substance abuse treatment, our medical professionals can also assist with mental health evaluations and medication management.
Can I have visitors?
Visitors are not allowed during the first 14 days of a patient’s stay. After this period, we can arrange visits.
Can my family call to check in on me?
With a signed release of information, family, friends, and legal representatives can call to inquire about your well-being.
What places do you typically work with for inpatient?
We collaborate with various programs across the valley to facilitate seamless transitions between different levels of care, ensuring your safety and well-being.
Do you take commercial insurance?
We currently do not accept private insurance. However, we can assist you in finding a program that does.
What if I don’t have insurance?
If you are currently uninsured, our Admissions team can discuss your situation and explore potential options such as AHCCCS or grant eligibility.
I make less than 1400 a month, can you still help me with treatment?
You may be eligible for AHCCCS may vary based on household size and income. Please contact our Admissions team for more details.
I make more than 1400 a month, can you still help me with treatment?
You may be ineligible for AHCCCS may vary based on household size and income. However, you might still qualify for a grant. Please contact our Admissions team for more details.
I’m homeless and have no job, no family or friend support, can you help me?
